Carnival salad is a hit at every party. It is colorful, rich in flavors and extremely appetizing – will delight both lovers of traditional dishes and seekers of new culinary inspirations. Connection delicate surimi sticks with crispy corn, fluffy eggs and distinctive leeks makes the salad a perfect mix of flavors and textures. Creamy mayonnaise highlights the freshness of the ingredients and gives the dish a velvety texture. This salad is perfect for house parties, family gatherings or carnival games. It is simple to prepare and at the same time looks extremely impressive on the table.
Ingredients:
- 250 g surimi sticks,
- 200 g of cannon corn,
- 4 eggs, size L or XL,
- white part of leek,
- 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise,
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt,
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.
Additionally:
- parsley for decoration.
How to do it:
1. Cut the white part of the leek in half lengthwise, rinse thoroughly and then chop into very thin pieces. If the leek is very spicy, you can place it in a strainer and pour boiling water over it, then immediately pour ice water over it. Thanks to this, it will soften and lose its burning taste.
2. Chop the surimi very finely.
3. Hard-boil the eggs, cool and peel. Chop them into small cubes.
4. Drain the corn from the brine.
5. Transfer all ingredients to a salad bowl and mix thoroughly. Add mayonnaise and spices and mix until everything becomes uniform and smooth.
6. Serve the finished carnival salad immediately after preparation or after 30 minutes of cooling in the refrigerator, after decorating with parsley.
Store leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container and use within 2-3 days.
