According to the governor of the Volgograd region, Andrey Bocharov, no victims have been reported in the attack yet, but people living in the vicinity may have been evacuated. The Ukrainian army also confirmed the night attack on the oil warehouse on Saturday morning.
Targeted attacks on infrastructure
In recent months, Ukraine has targeted its attacks on Russia’s energy infrastructure in an effort to prevent Moscow from financing its military campaign. Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Saturday that its air defenses had destroyed 67 Ukrainian drones overnight.
