Remember the case:

A woman was shot dead by an immigration agent in Minneapolis during ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) operations in the city last Wednesday (7).

The victim was identified as Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old US citizen who lived in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul) with her partner, the Minnesota Star Tribune reported, citing her mother, Donna Ganger.

The case occurred on a snow-covered street, where an Immigration Service vehicle had become stuck, according to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. A “crowd of agitators who were harassing them” blocked them and tried to impede their efforts, she said.

One of the cars was driven by the victim, who then “turned his vehicle into a weapon” in an attempt to run over a police officer before he opened fire, Noem said.

Although the secretary defended the agent’s actions, state and local authorities vehemently disputed claims that the shooting — which was recorded on video — occurred in self-defense.
