Banco da Amazônia reported that the Union significantly increased its shareholding in the institution, now holding 91.9% of the share capital. The change occurred after the transfer of common shares from the FI Caixa FGEDUC Multimercado Investment Fund to the Ministry of Finance, completed this Friday, 9th.
According to the statement to the market, the operation involved the assignment of subscription rights for book-entry shares, resulting in the transfer of 10,427,301 common shares, belonging to the FI Caixa FGEDUC Multimercado fund. With this, the Union increased its position from 73.3% to 91.9% of the bank’s total common shares.
Before the operation, the Educational Credit Operations Guarantee Fund (FGEDUC) held 18.6% of the capital of Banco da Amazônia. After the transfer, the fund no longer appears in the institution’s shareholding composition.

The shares of BB FGO – Fundo de Investimento em Ações, with 5.1%, and the other minority shareholders, who concentrate 3.0% of the capital, remain unchanged.
The bank’s total common shares remain at 56,058,315 shares, with no change in share capital, only with redistribution of ownership.
