Ethiopian Airlines begins construction of Africa’s largest airport


Ethiopian Airlines began construction on Saturday on what officials say will be the largest airport in Africa. The project in the Ethiopian city of Bishoftu will cost $12.5 billion (10.64 billion euros) and is scheduled to be completed in 2030. “Bishoftu International Airport will be the largest aviation infrastructure project in the history of Africa,” said Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali.
