With the new snow, the danger of avalanches in Tyrol and Vorarlberg increased further at the weekend. For parts of the two federal states, the avalanche warning service issued warning level four on the five-part scale. There is a “great danger” in the regions of Silvretta, Verwall, Lechtal and Allgäu Alps, the state of Tyrol said on Saturday. Those responsible therefore appealed to winter sports enthusiasts to exercise caution in open terrain.
