Government signs agreement with FNAM and guarantees that it “will not give up” on the consensus with doctors

The Portuguese Government signed a negotiation protocol with the National Federation of Doctors (FNAM) that covers various matters related to medical careers, including salaries, evaluation, career progression and working conditions.

The Government assured that it “will not give up on finding consensus” with health professionals, after having signed a negotiation agreement with the he indicated in a statement.

On Friday, the Minister of Health, Ana Paula Martinsand the Secretary of State for Public Administration, Marisa Garridosigned a negotiation protocol with FNAM, “within the scope of Collective Labor Agreements and which includes various matters relating to medical careers”he recalled, on the same note.

“We highlight the positive way in which the meeting, scheduled last month, took place, in which the Government sat down with one of the unions representing doctors, which contributes to the process of building a National Health Service [SNS] stronger”, highlighted the guardians.
