The first lady, Janja da Silva, published a video on social media in which she appears on the Restinga da Marambaia beach, in Rio de Janeiro, with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
In the recording, Lula highlights the sea with crossed waves, the result of the meeting of two ripples that come from different directions and meet in the middle.
“This is an extraordinary demonstration to put an end to prejudice between left and right. Here, the wave coming from the right joins the wave coming from the left and builds the sea”, says the president.
In the caption of the publication, the first lady says that the trip was to recharge her energy and that the presidential couple will enter 2026 with “full strength”.
“We have a lot of work ahead of us. With willingness, dialogue and Brazil in our hearts, we will continue together, taking care of our country”, writes Janja.
Lula and the first lady stopped by for the New Year’s break.
The island of Rio de Janeiro is home to a Navy training center. As it is a military area with restricted access and protection by the Armed Forces, the region has already been used by other presidents as a rest space.
The president returned to the official agenda last Wednesday (7).
