First Lady da Silva released this Saturday (10) a video recorded during the president’s days off () on the coast of Rio de Janeiro.
In the recording that aired on social media, Lula appears in swim trunks and a cap with the coat of arms of the Republic, alongside his wife.
The president rehearses a political metaphor when talking about the movement of water at one end of the Restinga de Marambaia, where he spent New Year’s Eve.
He says that, at this point in the town, the waves come from both sides, in a “miracle of nature”.
“This is an extraordinary demonstration, you know? Even to put an end to prejudice between the right and the right. Here, the wave that comes from the right joins with the wave that comes from the left and builds the sea.”
He adds that nature “does what we don’t imagine is possible.”
In the 2022 election, Lula was elected by making several nods to the centrist electorate, in the dispute he won against (PL). Throughout his term, he was criticized for leaving aside the discourse called the “broad front” at the time.
Lula remained at the Restinga de Marambaia military base for around ten days. In the post, the first lady said that the two recharged their energy there and returned with “energy, dialogue and Brazil in their hearts.”
