Rail traffic in Germany is getting off to a slow start due to winter storm Elli

Hamburg – Rail traffic in northern Germany continued to be severely restricted on Saturday as a result of winter storm Elli. The first long-distance trains on the route from Berlin via Hanover to the Ruhr area should run again from 10 a.m., as Deutsche Bahn announced. Further connections should follow throughout the day, but some routes will take even longer, it said.
