Renewed protests in Iranian metropolises


Tehran/Berlin/London – Street protests broke out in the Iranian metropolises of Tehran and Mashhad on Friday evening for the second day in a row. The extent of the demonstrations was initially unclear. Meanwhile, Iranian Nobel Peace Prize winner Shirin Ebadi warned of a “massacre under the protection of a comprehensive communications blackout.” Reza Pahlavi, son of the Shah who was overthrown in 1979, called on US President Donald Trump via X to “intervene to help the Iranian people.”
