Miguel Abdalla Neto was a gynecologist and brother of Marisa von Richthofen, mother of Suzane and Andreas
Miguel Abdalla Neto, maternal uncle of and Andreas von Richthofen, was found dead in his home, on Rua Baronesa de Bela Vista, in Vila Congonhas, south of São Paulo, on Friday afternoon (9). Abdalla Neto was a gynecologist and brother of Marisa von Richthofen, mother of Suzane and Andreas. After the death of her and her husband, Manfred Albert von Richthofen, in 2002, it was her uncle who took custody of Andreas, who was still a minor at the time.
According to information from the Military Police, he was found next to the bed, already in cadaverous rigidity. The causes of death are still being investigated, but preliminary information from the PM points to “sudden illness or natural death”. The residence had no signs of forced entry.
Manfred and Marisa were beaten while sleeping and killed in October 2002. The crime gained national attention. The investigations showed that the person who ordered the murder was her daughter, Suzane, who ordered her brothers Daniel (her boyfriend) and Cristian Cravinhos to commit the murder.
The three were convicted, arrested, and are now free. After the crime, Miguel and Suzane got into a dispute over the family inheritance, which amounted to R$11 million in assets (in updated values).
Miguel even filed a lawsuit to remove Suzane from the list of heirs. Upon her conviction and imprisonment in 2006, her brother, Andreas von Richthoffen, was appointed executor.
