Parliamentarians and members of civil society launched this Monday (12) a campaign on social media to draw attention to the importance of para and senator in October.
The initiative called “Congress friend of the people” has the support of federal deputies from different parties, such as Luiza Erundina (PSOL-SP), Patrus Ananias (PT-MG) and Pedro Campos (PSB-PE).
“It is necessary to have a more qualified Congress, of a better level than the current one. Parliament is a factor of progress or regression. We have to remember that the election is not just for the president of the Republic and governor, says federal deputy Chico Alencar (PSOL-RJ), one of the organizers of the movement.
The name of the campaign was designed as a counterpoint to the motto, which dominated social media last year.
After the campaign against the house arrest of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), in August, but ended up gaining traction on the left to criticize Congress for and for the coup attack on January 8th.
