Seguro leads voting intentions, followed by Cotrim and Ventura. Admiral is four. One week before the elections, Marques Mendes falls again and believes that “everyone will be completely mistaken”.
More than 218 thousand voters are registered to vote in advance this Sundayin the presidential elections on the 18th.
Precisely one week before the ‘big day’, Pitagorica’s daily survey for JN and TVI/CNN Portugal showed a new turn of events, with António José Seguro (20.8%) regaining leadership.
João Cotrim de Figueiredo (20.1%) surpassed André Ventura (19.8%)now in second place. Within the technical draw, the finish leader moved to third.
Henrique Gouveia e Melo (17.4%) it comes in fourth, having risen compared to Friday’s poll. Already Luís Marques Mendes fell again (15.7%) is fifth.
“They will be completely mistaken”
This Saturday, campaigning in Viana do Castelo, Brands Mendes predicted that all polls and analyzes will “completely get it wrong” regarding the results on January 18, a statement he said was based not only on conviction.
The former PSD leader was asked about the apparent difficulty in fixing the votes of the Social Democrats, after having met a voter who told him he was from the PSD but was inclined to vote for the candidate João Cotrim Figueiredo, supported by IL.
“I think they will deceive everyone completely, everyone completelybut I respect your opinions, but then keep that and then contrast on the 18th”, he stated.
Asked if he was making this statement because he had other numbers than those shown in the daily barometer of some media outlets, which placed him in fifth place, the candidate supported by PSD and CDS-PP replied: “It’s not just conviction”.
According to the new survey, Marques Mendes sees Cotrim de Figueiredo capture around 20% of the AD electorate and Gouveia e Melo another almost 20%. The admiral will still seek another 20% from those who vote for the PS.
As the TSF details, at the bottom of the voting intentions table are, very far from the top five, Catarina Martins (2,7%), Antonio Filipe (1,8%), Jorge Pinto (0,8%) e Manuel João Vieira (0,6%).
