Father and son broke into Vienna while trying to cross the New Danube

The emergency services went out to the Neue Donau in Vienna several times on Friday and Saturday to rescue people who had fallen into the ice. On Friday a person had to be pulled out of the water, and on Saturday a 33-year-old man and his eleven-year-old son collapsed into the water, as reported by wien.orf.at, among others. They had tried to cross the surface-frozen river in Vienna. The two were taken to the hospital suffering from hypothermia. Photos clearly show that only parts of the river were actually frozen.
