The announced this Saturday the signing of the midfielder, who played for Zenit, from Russia, and made the transfer the most expensive ever carried out by a Brazilian football club. The 28-year-old player signed a contract until 2030 with the team from Minas Gerais. The midfielder arrived in Belo Horizonte on Friday (9), when he underwent his medical examinations, and was received with great celebration by the fans. The athlete awaits publication in the CBF Daily Newsletter (BID) to be available to coach Tite.

To count on the player, Cruzeiro paid around 27 million euros (R$ 168.7 million) to Zenit, a higher amount than that recently paid by Palmeiras when signing Vitor Roque.

Until then, the highest hiring position was occupied by Vitor Roque, hired in February for 25.5 million euros (R$ 154 million at the time), in an agreement lasting five years. With the new transaction, the Cruzeiro midfielder set a new record in the Brazilian market.
