The fashion for names changes faster than you might think. One year is enough for a new leader to appear on the podium.
In 2025, over 28,000 children were born in Warsaw. Among them, one name clearly took the lead and once again confirmed its extraordinary popularity. In the capital, it remains the most frequently given name, both before and now Sophia. This is what beats other proposals, not only in statistics, but also in the hearts of parents.

Zofia has been associated with elegance, peace and universal sound for years. It fits both a small child and an adult woman, which is of great importance to many parents.
Although Zofia maintained the number one position, the real surprise appeared in subsequent places. In 2025, Helena moved up significantly in Warsaw, overtaking the previous favorites. This name is increasingly being chosen due to its classic, yet “warm” sound.
They also found themselves right behind Helena in the rankings Laura, Susanna, Hanna i Julia. It is clearly visible that parents in the capital eagerly choose names that are known, timeless and easy to pronounce.
