Quick rescue near Tatranská Štrba: The car went off the road, ended up on the cog railway

On Sunday afternoon, there was a traffic accident on the section between Štrbský Pleso and Tatranská Štrba, where the passenger vehicle went off the road and ended up on the cog rail. As reported by the Prešov Regional Police on the social network, the 42-year-old driver submitted to a breathalyzer test with a negative result.

“Thanks to the quick response of our police officers and other emergency services, the incident ended without injuries,” the police said. As reported by the Slovakian Railway Company (ZSSK) on the social network, traffic was interrupted in the Štrba – Štrbské Pleso section from 3:50 p.m. The police added that the car has already been towed away and rail traffic has been restored.
