American pancakes recipe
American pancakes are a simple and very tasty alternative to classic pancakes. The recipe is also suitable for beginners. So what will you need and what is the procedure?
Ingredients:
135 grams of plain flour
130 milliliters of whole milk
A teaspoon of baking powder
2 spoons of granulated sugar
2 tablespoons of melted butter
1 egg
A piece of butter for frying
A pinch of salt
Maple syrup
Procedure:
Take a large bowl and pour flour, baking powder, granulated sugar and salt into it. Stir and take another bowl. Break the egg into it and gently beat it together with the milk. Melt some butter in a pan, let it cool slightly, and then whisk it together with the milk and egg mixture. Then pour into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix everything well. The result should be a nice smooth dough no lumps. Cover with a tea towel and let stand for a few minutes.
While the dough is resting, you can reheat it over medium heat. Melt the butter on it and spread it using a rolling pin so that it really covers the entire bottom of the pan in which you will fry the fritters. After that, all that remains is to take the batter scoop and slowly and carefully pour the batter onto the pan. You can tell that the fritter is ready to be fried from the other side when small bubbles start to form on top. At this point, turn the fritter over and fry for the same amount of time on the other side. Until it will be fried to a nice golden color, put it on a plate with a paper towel to absorb all the excess grease. Once all the fritters are done, stack them on top of each other and pour maple syrup over them. And you’re done. Bon appetite!
