US is studying military options to respond to Iran, more than 500 people have already died in the protests

Iran threatens to retaliate if the United States attacks Iranian territory. They warn that the targets will be Israel and North American bases in the Middle East.

The United States is studying ways to respond to Iran. A meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, after Donald Trump threatened to attack the country if civilians continued to die in protests. More than 500 people have died in the demonstrations.

It is the most recent assessment from a North American human rights agency. Of this new number, more than 40 are security force agents. However, they may be higher, taking into account the communications blackout in Iran, which makes data verification difficult.

The wave of demonstrations across almost the entire country against the Iranian theocracy began two weeks ago, on December 28th.

To calm the protests, the Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian promised economic reform. He also addressed the United States and Israel, accusing both countries of fomenting disorder in Iran.

The president of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, says that the protests are generating strong instability and that the Security must be restored quickly.

O if the United States attacks Iranian territory. They warn that the targets will be Israel and North American bases in the Middle East.

It is yet another consequence of the tension between Washington and Tehran over demonstrations against the Ayatollahs’ regime.

Initially against the cost of living and galloping inflation, in a country subject to economic sanctions from the United States and the UN, the protests have been intensifying and became a political protest against the regime.

On Thursday, authorities turned off the Internet and cell phone signals across the country, following a large demonstration in Tehran and after videos were published on social media showing a crowd in protest.
