Athletico-PR x Ceará: how the teams arrive
O Athletico-PR advanced to the knockout stage as leader of Group 5, gaining seven points. The team from Paraná started the campaign with a draw against Osasco Sporting, beat Maricá afterwards and confirmed first place by beating Araçatuba in the final round of the group stage.
Already the Ceará secured classification as second place in Group 6, with six points. The Ceará team beat Olímpico and Carajás in the first two rounds, securing an early place, but ended up defeated by Grêmio Prudente in the match that was worth the lead in the group.
Whoever advances in this duel will face, in the next phase, the winner of the match between Grêmio Prudente-SP and Osasco Sporting-SP.
