Dog discovers 22 kg of drugs on bus and is applauded by passengers

Becky, sniffer dog from the Civil Police of Paraná, located more than 22 kilos of drugs hidden in a travel bus during an operation carried out on Sunday (11), at the Maringá bus station, in the northwest of the state.

According to the corporation, the action was carried out following a complaint about the transportation of marijuana in the vehicle. There, Becky performed the scent work and indicated the presence of the drug.

Then, the police approached a 22-year-old man and pointed out the dog, where the drugs were packed in different bundles.

“Through qualified investigation work, we identified that the individual left the Cascavel bus station heading to Maringá and was possibly carrying the drug in his luggage”, explained delegate Leandro Munin, responsible for the case.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the prison system. During the investigations, it was found that he was born in Foz do Iguaçu and would receive R$350 to transport the drugs to Presidente Prudentein the interior of São Paulo.

The material was seized, and investigations are still under the responsibility of the Civil Police of Paraná.
