São Paulo begins its journey in the Campeonato Paulista presenting one of its biggest recent promises among the starters on the left side: Nicolas. Crespo’s choice reflects the confidence of the board and the coaching staff in an athlete who has been molded in Cotia to shine in the main team.

But who is the player? What is your contract and amount of the fine? Sporting News shows.

Who is Nicolas?

Nicolas Bosshardt is an 18-year-old left-back, trained entirely in São Paulo’s youth teams. Known for his versatility, he can also play in a more advanced manner in midfield, a characteristic that made him stand out in the under-20 team, where he accumulated impressive numbers of goals and assists.

The player was permanently integrated into the professional squad for this season after being called up in a hurry during the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, filling the gap left by Patryck Lanza’s loan to Juventude.

Nicolas: contract and fine amount

Aware of the harassment from European giants such as Barcelona and Stuttgart — the club where Nicolas spent an exchange period in 2025 —, São Paulo acted quickly behind the scenes to ensure the jewel’s permanence.

In June last year, Tricolor officially renewed the athlete’s contract, which is now valid until December 2029. The previous contract was only valid until the end of 2026, which placed the club in a vulnerable position in the face of external surveys.

Currently, any foreign club wishing to take Nicolas from São Paulo without direct negotiation will need to shell out 60 million euros (approximately R$385 million at current prices). This value places the full-back at the same level of protection as other major recent revelations at the club, guaranteeing São Paulo a safe profit margin on a future transfer.
