There is nothing like a delicious, filling and, above all, quick dinner. During the working week I don’t have much time to stand in the kitchen, so I like to prepare meals that require little work. That’s what he is pasta with chicken in cream sauce – it tastes amazing, perfect for dinner at home, but also for a lunchbox for work or school.

  • 200 g tagliatelle or other pasta,
  • 1 chicken breast,
  • 150 ml of cream 30%,
  • 50 g grated parmesan cheese,
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil,
  • 1 tablespoon of flour,
  • 1 tablespoon of butter,
  • 3 cloves of garlic,
  • 1 tablespoon of rosemary leaves,
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt,
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.

Additionally:

  • lemon peel for sprinkling,
  • black pepper for sprinkling,
  • parsley for sprinkling.

Cook the pasta in well-salted, boiling water for 1 minute less than the instructions on the package. Before draining, set aside a cup of the pasta cooking water.

Break the chicken breast into a cutlet about 1.5 cm thick. Season it with salt and pepper on both sides, then sprinkle with flour.

Heat the olive oil in a pan and fry the chicken for 2 minutes on each side or until completely cooked. Lightly wrap it in plastic wrap and set aside.

Heat the butter over medium heat and add finely chopped garlic. Fry it for a minute without browning it. Add finely chopped rosemary and continue frying for another 30 seconds.

Pour in the cream and bring the sauce to a gentle boil. Then add the Parmesan cheese in 2-3 batches, stirring well after each addition to dissolve completely. Finally, season with pepper and lemon juice.

Pour 50 ml of pasta cooking water and simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly. Set aside.

Cut the chicken into medium-sized cubes and add to the sauce. Stir. Then add the pasta and mix again.

Serve pasta with chicken in cream sauce warm, immediately after preparation, sprinkled with additional pepper, lemon zest and chopped parsley.
