The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, said this Monday (12) that she had a ‘good conversation’ with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, about security and efforts to reduce drug trafficking.
Sheinbaum said in a publication on X that the two leaders discussed security with respect to Mexico’s sovereignty, the reduction of drug trafficking, as well as trade and investment.
On Sunday, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Mexican Foreign Minister Juan Ramón de la Fuente about the need for stronger cooperation to dismantle Mexico’s violent narco-terrorism networks and prevent fentanyl and weapons trafficking, State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott said in a statement.
