Recipe for Italian drumsticks. The perfect dinner for busy people

Italian-style chicken legs marinated in Italian spices, lemon and garlicand then baked until golden brown they are known for their juiciness and unique aroma. They will be loved by all your family members and guests. The dish is perfect for an everyday dinner, but also for special occasions. You can prepare them very quickly and simply, though it is best to marinate the meat overnight.

  • 3 cloves of garlic,
  • 2 teaspoons of lemon peel,
  • a teaspoon of oregano,
  • a teaspoon of basil,

  • 1.5 teaspoons of salt,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.

How to do it:

1. Clean the chicken legs from excess skin and fat, wash them and dry them with paper towels. Set aside.

2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, chopped garlic, lemon zest and spices.

3. Place the meat in a large and durable string bag and pour the marinade over it. Close the bag and remove excess air. Massage the mixture into the chicken and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, although up to 12 hours is recommended.

4. Remove the chicken legs and place them skin side up in an ovenproof dish. Pour the marinade remaining in the bag over everything.

5. Put the dish in the oven preheated to 200 degrees Celsius for about 45 minutes or until golden brown. The internal temperature should be 75 degrees Celsius.

6. Remove the Italian-style thighs and set aside for 5 minutes, then serve with fresh vegetables and sprinkle with white sesame seeds.

7. Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container and use within 3 days. Heat in the oven, in a pan or in the microwave.
