Authorities assume around 2,000 people have died in protests in Iran


Tehran – According to government figures, around 2,000 people were killed in the mass protests in Iran. These included civilians and security forces, an official told the Reuters news agency on Tuesday. “Terrorists” are responsible for this. The protests in Iran, which have been ongoing since December 28, were sparked by the poor economic situation and culminated in calls for the overthrow of the leadership of the Islamic Republic.
