This Sunday’s route was made from Pátio Água Espraiada to the future Brooklin Paulista station, where the train returned to the station that will directly connect the airport to the rail network

The future Line 17-Gold station received a train for the first time. The operation took place on a test basis on Sunday morning (11). The trip also recorded the train passing for the first time on the link that diverts trains towards Congonhas Airport station. As the line will have a Y shape, trains coming from Morumbi have two destination options and the link is the section where there is a change of route towards Congonhas or Washington Luís.

This Sunday’s route was made from Pátio Água Espraiada to the future Brooklin Paulista station. The train traveled at speeds varying between 10 and 20km/h to make the necessary measurements possible. One of the eight stations on Line 17, Congonhas reached 97% of the works completed, with work concentrated on internal finishing.

After work resumed in September 2023, Line 17-Gold reached 95% completion of work and already has eight of the 14 trains available for testing. The start of operations is expected by the end of March, and will connect Congonhas airport to the Morumbi station on Line 9-Esmeralda, along its 6.7 km length and eight stations with also integration with the subway at Campo Belo station (Line 5-Lilac).
