Head-on collision between a car and a van in Bajč: The drivers ended up in the hospital!

Two motor vehicles collided head-on in the village of Bajč in the district of Komárno. The accident happened in the afternoon on the I/64 road. Both drivers suffered injuries with which they were taken to the hospital, the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Nitra informed.

According to the police, there was a head-on collision between two vehicles for reasons that have not yet been determined. The police subjected the 36-year-old driver of the Fiat Ducato to a breath test for alcohol with a negative result. It was not possible to perform a breath test on the 64-year-old driver of the Škoda Octavia. Possible consumption of alcohol will be determined by additional collection of biological material.

The circumstances, the degree of fault and the exact cause of the traffic accident are subject to further investigation. Due to the calamitous condition on the roads, the police ask drivers to be more careful, adjust their driving speed to the current conditions and keep a safe distance.
