This Tuesday (13), the ninth phase of Operation Overclean was launched, with nine search and seizure warrants targeting federal deputy Félix Mendonça (PDT-BA).
There was a search of the parliamentarian’s functional apartment in Brasília. The measures were authorized by the STF (Supreme Federal Court), at addresses in Bahia and the Federal District.
The objective of the action, according to the police, is to dismantle a criminal organization suspected of diverting public resources from parliamentary amendments, corruption and money laundering.
The also ordered the blocking of R$24 million in bank accounts of individuals and legal entities under investigation, with the aim of stopping the movement of amounts of illicit origin and preserving assets for eventual repair to the public coffers.
