Awith the support of and the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service (RFB), launched, this Tuesday (13), the ninth phase of Operation Overclean, with the aim of dismantling a criminal organization suspected of embezzling public resources resulting from parliamentary amendments, corruption and money laundering.
In total, nine search and seizure warrants are being executed, issued by thein Bahia and the Federal District.
Federal deputy Félix Mendonça Júnior (PDT-BA) is the central focus of the ninth phase of Operation Overclean. The Federal Police carried out a search and seizure of the functional apartment occupied by the parliamentarian, in Brasília.
The STF ordered the blocking of R$24 million in the bank accounts of individuals and legal entities being investigated, with the aim of stopping the movement of amounts of illicit origin and preserving assets for eventual repair to the public coffers.
Those investigated may face charges of criminal organization, active and passive corruption, embezzlement, fraud in tenders and administrative contracts, in addition to money laundering.
