Big Brother Brasil 26 officially confirmed the return of the White Room, one of the most feared and iconic dynamics in the program’s history, and this time with a decisive role at the beginning of the season. The test is part of the new stage called “Laboratory”, in which the nine popcorn participants coming from Casa de Vidro, who were not chosen to enter directly into the reality show, will be confined in the white space to compete for two places in the house.
Anyone who wants to give up can press the red button in the center of the room, but then they will be out of the running. In the end, the last two holdouts guarantee entry to “BBB26” and continue in the game.

The White Room, known for testing the physical and mental limits of those confined, has marked historic moments since its debut on BBB9 (2009). Check out all the editions that had the dynamic and how it impacted the game below:
BBB9 (2009) – First appearance and direct elimination
The dynamic debuted in the ninth season when Newton answered Big Fone and chose Ralf and Leo to accompany him in the White Room. The trio had two options to leave: endure the confinement until the end or press the red button and give up, which meant automatically eliminating themselves from the reality show. Leo couldn’t take the pressure and pressed the button after about 30 hours, leaving the program.
BBB9 (second time) – Wall in sight
Still in the same edition, the White Room returned in another dynamic: Francine chose Priscila and Flávio to face the room, but this time the consequence was different. Whoever pressed the button would not be eliminated, but would be automatically placed on the Wall, changing the game strategy. The two managed to complete the time without giving up, but ended up in the hot seat later.
BBB10 (2010) – Immunity and elimination through the game
In BBB10, Angélica (Morango), Cacau and Serginho were taken to the White Room. In this edition, the public played an important role: they voted to choose one of them who would be immune to the formation of Paredão. Serginho was immunized by the vote, and the dispute ended up directly influencing who would face the hot seat, Angélica ended up nominated and subsequently eliminated.
BBB20 (2020) – Monster Punishment with extra tension
After a decade without the dynamics, the White Room returned on BBB20 in the format of Punishment of the Monster. Felipe Prior, Gizelly and Manu Gavassi were confined in the white environment, this time with a twist: whoever pressed the red button would go directly to Paredão and release the other two participants. Manu was the first to give up, going into the spotlight. The room also had surprise elements, such as a ceiling that lowered over time to intensify the discomfort.
BBB23 (2023) – Double resistance and strategic play
At BBB23, Domitila Barros pressed a button placed on the lawn and was taken to the White Room along with Fred Bruno. They faced an endurance test in a car and whoever gave up would go straight to Paredão, while the other would win immunity and a car. Fred resisted more than Domitila, who ended up in Paredão after choosing to go to the limit with her colleague.
