Young Daniel Teixeira Ribeiro, 23 years old, was shot dead on Monday night (12), in an invasion area located between the Vila Vitória and José Hassem neighborhoods, in the municipality of Epitaciolândia, in the interior of Acre.

According to information from the Military Police, Daniel was at his family’s house when he received a call from acquaintances and decided to go there in the afternoon. Hours later, residents in the region reported hearing several gunshots.
At around 10pm, people went to the location to check the situation and found the young man lying in the backyard of a residence. The victim had three gunshot wounds, two to the chest and one to the head. One of the shots went through the chest and exited through the back.
The Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) and the Military Police were called, but the teams faced difficulties in reaching the address, as residents took around 30 minutes to provide information that would allow access to the area. Upon arrival, rescuers were only able to confirm the death.

The Military Police isolated the location until the criminal forensics team arrived. After the usual procedures, the body will be sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML), in Rio Branco, for cadaveric examinations.
The case will be investigated by the Civil Police, who are working to identify the perpetrator and motivation of the crime.
