Airstrikes, cyberattacks, attempted assassination: Trump’s five options in Iran

US President Donald Trump announced at the beginning of January that the US was “ready to fire” if demonstrators died in anti-government protests in Iran. Human rights groups are now reporting thousands of deaths in the country with a population of over 90 million. Even the regime itself admits 2,000 deaths. Earlier this week, Trump followed up and spoke of “decisive action” if arrested demonstrators were executed. According to the AP news agency, Iran has now announced exactly that.
