After a break of almost four years, the South Korean group BTS is officially back. Big Hit Music, the company responsible for managing the septet, confirmed the full return of Jungkook, Suga, Taehyung, Jimin, RM, J-Hope e Jin em 2026.
The return, eagerly awaited by fans known as Armys, takes place after all members in South Korea, ending in June 2025.
The group’s reunion with the public took place in July 2025, during a live broadcast on the Weverse platform, in celebration of BTS’s 12th anniversary. At the time, around 8 million fans followed the live simultaneously.
Everything we know about BTS’ comeback
You can write it down in your diary: the new album and official comeback are scheduled for the day March 20, 2026 and includes the launch of fifth album of the group’s studio, in addition to a world tour.
The album will be one that remained by BTS’s side during the break period. And this will be the first album of new songs since “Map of the Soul: 7”, released in 2020. Unlike “Proof” from 2022, which was a commemorative album that brought together already known songs.
The new work will feature 14 new tracksdeveloped throughout the second half of 2025, when the members were finally able to reunite after fulfilling their military obligations.
According to the record company’s official statement, it reflects the members’ direct involvement in the creation of the songs, incorporating thoughts, emotions and challenges experienced throughout the group’s trajectory.
Additionally, pre-sales for the album begin at 11pm on January 15th, Brasília time.
World tour with shows in Brazil
To the delight of Brazilian fans, they were announced and the presentations will take place in São Pauloon the days October 28, 30 and 31, 2026with locations yet to be confirmed.
Expectations surrounding the tour are enormous, as industry analysts estimate that the tour will be driven by the high volume of international fan travel, sales of official merchandise and a strong impact on streaming platforms.
Solo projects during the break
During the military enlistment period, between 2022 and 2025, all members launched relevant solo projects, many of them prepared in advance. Check it out:
Jungkook
He released his first official solo album, “GOLDEN”with 11 tracks in English, including the hits “Seven”as Latto, “3D”com Jack Harlow, e “Standing Next to You”.
The album broke the record for the biggest sales week for a K-pop soloist. In September 2024, the documentary “JUNG KOOK: I AM STILL” premiered in theaters. After his dismissal, in June 2025, he starred in the second season of the travel series “Are You Sure?!”, on Disney+, alongside Jimin.
Suga
In April 2023 he released the album “D-DAY”with tracks like “Haegeum” e “People Pt.2”with UI. The project ended his trilogy as Agust D and gave rise to the first solo world tour by a BTS member, which sold almost 300,000 tickets.
He has also established himself as a global ambassador for Valentino and Samsung.
Taehyung
Released the digital single “FRI(END)S”which topped the music charts in 87 countries. In 2024, he presented the fotolivro “TYPE 1”accompanied by an international exhibition that visited cities such as Los Angeles and Seoul.
After his dismissal, he reinforced his role in fashion as a global ambassador for Celine and Cartier.
Jimin
He released his second solo album, “MUSE”with seven tracks. The single “Who” reached the top of the global charts.
The album also includes “Slow Dance”, with Sofia Carson, and the fan song “Closer Than This”. In 2024, Big Hit hosted the “Smeraldo Garden” pop-up event in Seoul.
RM
Released his second solo album “Right Place, Wrong Person”with 11 tracks, including the lead single “LOST!”. The album was critically acclaimed for mixing genres such as jazz, alternative hip-hop and indie.
After his official return in June 2025, he launched the audiovisual project “Monologue”which served as the basis for his solo world tour “Indigo & Beyond”.
The tour focused on performances at mid-sized venues and art centers around the world, highlighting his identity as a curator and artist before leading BTS’ comeback with a new album in March 2026.
J-Hope
Maintained the connection with dance and hip-hop when releasing “HOPE ON THE STREET VOL. 1”in 2024, with six tracks and collaborations with Jungkook and Benny Blanco.
After his dismissal, he released the singles “Sweet Dreams” e “MONA LISA”before presenting the full album “Hope on the Stage”which includes the hit “Killin’ It Girl” with GloRilla. The project resulted in a world tour that ended with a historic show at Goyang Stadium.
Jin
He began his solo career with the album “Happy”released in 2024, which includes the track “Running Wild” and collaboration “Heart on the Window”com Wendy, do Red Velvet.
Oh viral “Super Tuna” it gained strength again, reaching the top of the charts in Japan and in more than 57 countries. In May 2025, he released his second solo album, “Echo”which gave rise to the “Runseokjin” world tour.
