The term of commitment was signed during the business mission of the vice-governor of Espírito Santo, Ricardo Ferraço, in China. In Baoding, at the headquarters of GWM, Ferraço was received, on his last appointment in the country, by the owner of the Chinese automaker, Jack Wei. Governor Renato Casagrande participated in the signing of the commitment via video call.

There is still no defined location for the installation of the project in Espírito Santo. The value of the investment was also not disclosed.

In a press release, Ferraço highlighted that the state government seeks to attract opportunities that generate development. “We signed an agreement with GWM to bring a factory to our State, expanding investments, generating jobs and strengthening a virtuous cycle of growth that is already underway.”

According to the Espírito Santo government, GWM imported more than 45 thousand vehicles through Espírito Santo ports last year.
