Iran’s mission to the United Nations has accused US President Donald Trump of encouraging political destabilization, inciting violence and threatening Iran’s sovereignty.
“US fantasies and policy towards Iran are based on regime change, with sanctions, threats, orchestrated unrest and chaos serving as modus operandi to create a pretext for military intervention. This strategy has failed before. The Iranian people will defend their country – and will certainly fail again,” Iran’s UN mission account wrote on X.
Tehran also accused the US and Israel of bearing legal responsibility for the loss of civilian lives, especially young people.
