On the 11th day of the campaign, the Lisbon district concentrates the majority of actions

The Portuguese elect Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa’s successor on Sunday, in elections whose second round, to be held, will take place on February 8.

This Wednesday, the district of Lisbon concentrates most of the actions of the presidential candidates, with the 11th day of campaigning for the elections also having stops in Minho, Algarve and the districts of Porto and Setúbal.

Candidates supported by right-wing parties will concentrate in the northern half of the country, with Luís Marques Mendes to dedicate the day to Minho, starting with contact with the population at the Arcos de Valdevez Municipal Market (Viana do Castelo) and followed by lunch at the University of Braga.

In the center of the country, João Cotrim Figueiredosupported by the Liberal Initiative (IL), visits the production of Pereira queijadas, in Montemor-o-Velho, in the morning, and in the afternoon has a meeting with supporters at a hotel in Figueira da Foz, both in the district of Coimbra.

Candidates from the political left today concentrate most of their campaign activities in the southern half of the country, with António José Segurosupported by the PS, dedicating the day to actions in the Lisbon district, starting at the Municipal Market of Vila Franca de Xira, followed by contacts with the populations of Amadora and Mafra, and closing the day with dinner in Lourinhã.

Also in Lisbon and surrounding areas there will be Antonio Filipe e Catarina Martinswith the communist having lunch with jurists in Lisbon, followed by a meeting with young people at BOTA – Base Organizada da Toca das Artes and a dinner with supporters in Santarém, while the blockist will meet in the morning in Amadora with the board of directors of Hospital Professor Doutor Fernando Fonseca (Amadora-Sintra) and close the day with a contact action with the population starting in Largo do Carmo, in Lisbon.

Further south will be the candidate supported by Livre, Jorge Pintowith a visit to the Faro Hospital in the morning, contact with the population of Barreiro (Setúbal) in the middle of the afternoon and a visit to the Vale da Amoreira neighborhood, in Moita (Setúbal), to close the day.
