A resident of the Gleba São Jorge branch, located in the rural area of Sena Madureira, shows the difficulties faced by families in the region, in order to cross the Igarapé São Pedro, during the Amazon winter.
In a video sent to our newsroom, the resident criticizes Mayor Gerlen Diniz, considering that his administration did not complete the construction of the new bridge in the locality, which makes crossing even more difficult.

“This is the São Pedro bridge, seeing the situation that the mayor made, I have my quad bike here watching the time sink. This is the mayor who says that Sena would change, and it did, for the worse”, says the resident.
The lack of a bridge directly affects the mobility of the population, as rural workers encounter obstacles in transporting their production, and residents are prevented from seeking health care quickly. In emergency situations, delay or impossibility of passage can have serious consequences.

Given this scenario, completion of the work becomes an urgent need. Ensuring a safe and definitive structure means ensuring dignity, access to basic services and better living conditions for rural residents. Especially in the most critical winter months, when floods in streams further highlight the importance of the work for the community.
