António José Seguro and André Ventura
With a slight difference, André Ventura surpasses António José Seguro. Gouveia e Melo and Marques Mendes in decline.
Latest survey by the Catholic University on presidential, published just five days before the elections. AND André Ventura is at the front.
In the Católica poll for , Antena 1 and Público, the president of Chega leads the voting intentions with 24%, with an advantage of just one percentage point over António José Seguro.
Behind the 23% Insurance appear 19% from João Cotrim de Figueiredo – but, as the margin of error is 2.2%, Cotrim is a hypothesis for the second round.
If the second round, according to this survey, brings together two of these three candidates – Ventura, Seguro and Cotrim – it means that Henrique Gouveia e Melo and Luís Marques Mendes fell. For fourth and fifth place, respectively.
Both appear tied with 14% and they are the ones that register the biggest drop in relation to the December survey: minus 4 percentage points for Gouveia e Melo, minus 6 points for Marques Mendes. And they are out of the second round.
This change comes after the obvious changes from Gouveia e Melo to Marques Mendes – which apparently did not work for either candidate.
Conversely, Seguro rose 7 percentage points compared to December, while Cotrim rose 5 points.
Catarina Martins and António Filipe stay at 2%, Jorge Pinto has 1.5% and the remaining three (Manuel João Vieira, Humberto Correia and André Pestana) do not reach 1%.
They can still change
But there are two other very important percentages in this survey.
15% of respondents are still undecided. E 51% admit that they still can change your vote from now until the 18th.
In other words, many votes can still change.
Who has the most loyal electoratethat is, voters who are sure they will vote for that candidate, it is Andre Ventura (74%); who has The least likely voter is João Cotrim de Figueiredo (41%) – that is, the majority who say they vote for Cotrim admit that they can still change their vote.
Already second round, Antonio José Insurance appears in frontwith 54%, ahead of Gouveia e Melo (48%). A little further back, with 45%, are João Cotrim de Figueiredo and Marques Mendes. André Ventura does not exceed 33% in the second round.
