The base of this paste is, of course, traditional Greek feta cheese, which gives it an extremely distinctive, slightly salty taste. Feta cheese is a good source of protein and also contains calcium that strengthens bones and teeth. Feta cheese is also an ingredient rich in B vitamins and very filling, making it perfect for a reducing diet. In addition, the original feta cheese made from sheep’s milk is also rich in omega-3 acids.

Other ingredients of this sandwich spread can also bring many benefits to the body. Olive oil is an excellent source of omega-3 and omega-6 acids, it also has a lot of vitamins and antioxidant properties, it also has antibacterial properties and effectively reduces inflammation. It is also worth paying attention to the capsaicin present in chili peppers – it has a beneficial effect, among others: on our circulatory system and immunity, it also helps detoxify the body.

It is worth preparing tirokafteri not only for its intense, original taste, but also for its health benefits. It has long been known that Mediterranean cuisine is very healthy – if I can, I include such recipes in my daily menu.

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 clove of garlic,
  • 50 g olive oil,
  • 1/2 chili pepper,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of chili flakes,
  • 400 g sera feta,
  • 200 g of Greek yogurt.

To serve:

  • chilli flakes,
  • chili pepper,
  • fresh herbs,
  • favorite bread.

Preparation method:

Place garlic, olive oil, chilli flakes and finely chopped pepper in the blender bowl.

Mix until the ingredients are combined.

Add coarsely crumbled feta, Greek yogurt and the mixture previously prepared in the blender to the bowl.

Mix everything thoroughly with a spoon.

Transfer the prepared paste to the bowl in which you plan to serve it. Sprinkle with chili flakes, add finely chopped chili pepper and fresh herbs. Serve with your favorite bread.
