The traffic accident that happened on Tuesday (January 13) in the village of Bajč (Komárno district) claimed the life of a 64-year-old man. After a head-on collision between two vehicles, both drivers were taken to the hospital, where the driver of the Skoda Octavia succumbed to his injuries, reported the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Nitra.

The accident happened in the afternoon on the I/64 road. The driver of the Škoda Octavia probably did not adjust the driving speed to his abilities, the characteristics of the vehicle and the nature of the road. He skidded and went in the opposite direction. There, he collided head-on with an oncoming Fiat Ducato. Its 36-year-old driver was subjected to a breathalyzer test for alcohol by the police with a negative result.

It was not possible to perform a breath test on the driver of the Škoda vehicle on the spot. From the biological material taken, it was subsequently established that the body of the driver of the Octavia contained an unprecedented amount of alcohol, but apparently exceeding one per million. the police confirmed.
