After turmoil, MPF points out failure in the Ufac Medicine entrance exam and issues recommendation

Court determines payment to candidates affected in the Ufac entrance exam; understand

The Federal Public Ministry (MPF) in Acre issued, on Wednesday (14), a recommendation to the Federal University of Acre (UFAC) and Cebraspe, the board organizing the Medicine entrance exam, to avoid further disruptions on the second day of exams, scheduled for this Sunday (18). The measure was adopted after the problems recorded in the first stage of the event, held last Sunday (11).

In the document, the MPF points out that the first day of the entrance exam was marked by severe difficulties in accessing the test locations, especially the UFAC campus, in Rio Branco, due to congestion on BR-364. Information from the Federal Highway Police (PRF) indicates that the campus gates remained closed until the time initially scheduled for opening, which contributed to the accumulation of vehicles and disruption to urban mobility.

The recommendation also highlights that the situation led several candidates to abandon their vehicles and walk for long distances, under strong heat and risk of rain, which could result in the loss of the right to take the test. The MPF highlights that the entrance exam had around 5,400 registered candidates, distributed across several application locations in Rio Branco and Cruzeiro do Sul.

Given this scenario, the body recommended that UFAC and Cebraspe open the campus gates two hours in advance, starting at 1 pm, as a way of ensuring greater fluidity in traffic and adequate access for candidates on the second day of the exam and in future selection processes involving a large flow of people. The MPF set a 24-hour deadline for recipients to inform whether they will comply with the recommendation, warning that non-compliance may result in the adoption of appropriate legal measures.

The UFAC Medicine entrance exam offers 80 places, divided equally between the first and second semester of 2026. The tests are carried out in two stages, the first being applied on January 11th, with questions on Languages, Human Sciences and writing, and the second this Sunday (18th), with tests on Natural Sciences and Mathematics. The exams take place in Rio Branco and Cruzeiro do Sul, according to the choice made by candidates at the time of registration.
