André Ventura's campaign t-shirts are made… in Bangladesh

André Ventura’s poster for the 2026 presidential elections: “This is not Bangladesh”

The t-shirts given away by Ventura’s campaign are produced in Bangladesh, despite the candidate’s posters with messages against immigrants from the Asian country.

The t-shirts distributed during André Ventura’s presidential campaign in Mirandela, Bragança district, on Monday, were ‘made in Bangladesh’, as can be seen on the label.

The t-shirts are made by a company from the Keya group, in that Asian country, which, on its website, says it has the capacity to production exceeding 100 million pieces textile sector, with its representative in Europe (Kamp Europe BVBA – also referenced on the t-shirt).

Hats and scarves offered by the campaign as a “gift” they have no reference to the origin of production.

Most of the gifts present in Mirandela were in boxes with reference to the company Best Oriente, which on its website claims to be a “Portuguese-Chinese company” which positions itself in the promotional marketing market “Made in China, with turnkey service”, having its own production structure in Yiwu, in that country.

This is not Bangladesh” is one of the messages that appears on André Ventura’s candidacy posters and one of the phrases most repeated by the Chega leader and candidate for Belém in many of his statements to the media, during the presidential election campaign.

Still on Monday morning, during a visit to Adega de Vila Real, Ventura repeated the idea: “If we paid our people better, we would we didn’t need this invasion of Indians, BangladeshNepal and all other countries”.
