On Thursday morning, there was an extremely serious traffic accident near Prague’s Smíchovský nádraží, reports . There, an articulated bus hit a middle-aged woman who was crossing the road while exiting the curve. According to the rescuers, she suffered extremely serious injuries – she lost both lower limbs and seriously injured her hands as a result of the impact.
The paramedics immediately provided her with first aid, stopped the heavy bleeding, administered painkillers and transported her to the Prague trauma center. Her health condition remains critical.
The accident required the intervention of all emergency services and caused traffic complications. Due to the investigation, the police closed part of the road and also restricted tram traffic, but the restrictions were temporary. Prague criminal investigators are investigating the causes and circumstances of the tragic accident.
