Flávio denies rift with Michelle and says he doesn’t demand support – 01/15/2026 – Brasília Hoje

The senator and pre-candidate for president (PL-RJ) denied that there is a split within the family of former president Jair Bolsonaro, stated that he practices right-wing unity and said that he will not demand support from allies.

“There is no split at all,” he said, in conversation with journalists in front of the Federal Police Regional Superintendence, this Thursday (15). He was returning from a visit to his father, the former president. “The election campaign is far away. People have their time and I’m not going to keep demanding anyone.”

Last Tuesday (13), the First Lady (PL), Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), and liked a comment from the First Lady of São Paulo that said: “Brazil needs a new CEO, my husband”.

Some allies. Michelle would be upset by the way Flávio announced his pre-candidacy – he traveled to São Paulo to inform the governor of São Paulo in person, but did not even notify her by phone before making the project public.

Flávio was asked about , which shows growth in the pre-candidate, although still with a disadvantage for the first and second rounds of the 2026 presidential election.

“I think the result still doesn’t reflect reality well. It’s not what our internal polls are showing. There isn’t that distance between me and Lula,” he stated. “[Mas] even polls like Quaest show gigantic growth, not only with the electorate that calls itself Bolsonarist, but even with the electorate that considers itself neither left nor right”.

During the conversation, Flávio once again complained about the noise in the former president’s cell. “He asked for a muffler because of the maddening sound he is subjected to for almost 12 hours a day, from 7am to 7pm,” he said. “That’s a torture technique, there’s no other cute word to say.”
