The writer and journalist Jojo Moyes56, revealed what his future projects will be in an exclusive interview with CNN Brazil. Recently, the author of “How I Was Before You” released her 17th book, titled “Everything will be fine”.
During the chat, she mentioned that she is already finishing writing the last pages of her newest book and mentions that she has two things she still dreams of doing. “There’s one I’ll never do, but I wanted to write a very serious… horror book about a massacre that happened in Africa. But I don’t think anyone wants that. My editors don’t want it, I don’t think my readers want it. So, if I write this, it will be just for me”, he jokes.
He then adds: “I’m finishing a book now, literally writing the last pages, and I have the feeling that I want to write another great novel, something I haven’t done in years. Like you said at the beginning, my books are about other things, they have a romance running through them, but they’re about friendship, or about money, or about something else that’s going on. So I feel like maybe I want to write a really epic love story, so maybe that’s it.”
During the conversation, Jojo also explains the context of his new book, released in early 2026: “It’s just a funny story about complicated familiesbut I hope you feel a little happy when you finish.” The work, which is already published by Intrínseca, follows Lila, a writer who achieved success with her debut book, in which she told how she had built an indestructible marriage.
In 2016, Jojo’s best-selling Me Before You was adapted for the big screen, starring Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin. In an interview with People in the film’s debut year, the author had already revealed that she was inspired by real situations to write the book of the same name.
