A businesswoman Ruth Moreira, 56, mother of singer Marília Mendonça (1995-2021), made a comment on social media countering criticism of influencer Gabriela Versiani27, singer’s fiancée Murilo Huff30.
“She is always very affectionate with Léo, she always treated him with a lot of love and never wanted anyone’s place. May they be very happy,” he wrote in a comment. The attacks began after publishing a photo making the little one sleep.
Gabriela Versiani and the singer got engaged on August 5th. They shared the news on their social media with a themed photo shoot on the farm. She and the singer have been dating for two years, since June 2023.
The influencer frequently publishes alongside Léo, as a result of Huff’s relationship with singer Marília Mendonça.
Recently, the singer and Ruth got involved in fights over custody of Léo, who until then lived with his grandmother, in Goiânia, since Marília Mendonça died in a plane crash.
At the end of the dispute, Ruth lost custody of Léo, who remained with Huff, with occasional visits from his grandmother.
After the resolution was announced, the businesswoman opened up in an interview with Fantástico, saying: “when we lose a child, we die together. You need to breathe with that half that was left. When I found myself without my grandson, I relived that. I experienced that grief again.”
