The Portimão Feira de Velarias will be temporarily relocated to the riverside area of the city, informed the municipality.
According to the municipality, the fairs on February 1st and 15th, March 1st and 15th and April 19th will take place in the Riverside Zone, between the Clube Naval and Bomba de Gasolina. On April 5th, as it coincides with Easter Sunday, the competition will not take place.
The Municipality says that, on May 3rd, the Feira de Velarias returns to the Portimão Fairs and Exhibitions Park, the usual place where it takes place on the first and third Sundays of each month.
According to the City Council, the temporary change “is due to the holding of important events at the Portimão Arena”, which make it impossible to hold the fair in its usual space.
The event “attracts thousands of people” and allows you to find “all types of used products, from clothing and footwear to books, including antique furniture, small appliances, utility items, decorative objects, etc.”.
Following this temporary measure, the Municipality of Portimão “thanks the regular sellers and regulars of both initiatives for their understanding”, also inviting interested parties to visit the Feira de Velarias on the riverside of the city.
