Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that the international situation has worsened and the world is becoming more dangerous. However, he will not comment on the events in Venezuela and Iranl, writes TASR based on a Reuters report.
“The situation on the international stage is constantly deteriorating – I don’t think anyone would disagree with that. Long-standing conflicts are intensifying and new serious foci of tension are emerging,” declared Putin during the handing over of credentials to the new ambassadors.
“We hear the monologue of those who, from the right of power, consider it permissible to dictate their will, instruct others and issue orders. Russia is sincerely committed to the ideals of a multipolar world“, the Russian president continued.
Putin subsequently called for the start of discussions on Russian proposals for the form of a new security architecture in Europe. “We hope that the recognition of this need will come sooner or later. Until then, Russia will continue to consistently pursue its goals,” he added.
